About the Society

The Society of Lancaster University Geography Students, or SLUGS as we are called, is run by an exec of 9 members.

The society exists to help students at Lancaster University with an interest and passion to get to know each other, and have a more sociable side to their degree whilst at University. As a society, we put on many events throughout the year, from academic events like talks from geographers, and even TV presenters, (See the ‘Past Events’ page for more information!) to Social events including games nights, quizzes, and bar crawls, both in Lancaster and on Campus.

We are here as a group of people to help  students get the most out of the short time at University, and are here to talk to if anybody has any problems relating to your degree or Uni life in general!  Whatever it is, please get in touch with us, by Facebook or email, or come and see one of the exec members.

So, why not come along and join us, and don’t forget your colouring pencils!! (Wouldn’t want to disappoint everyone with their silly geography stereotypes now, would we??) ;-)
